I had the opportunity to photograph a newborn that was only one day old at the hospital last week. It was such a special time and I feel so lucky that I was able to share it with his family. I was nervous when I arrived and saw that there was very little light in the room, a combination of the dreary weather outside and those large storm shutters on the windows. I had to shoot at a high speed and it ended up giving the photos a cool grainy quality, which I especially liked on the black and white images. Welcome to the world little guy–you have a great family ready to take good care of you.
